I am really looking forward to the next year and all the great things GitKraken is building (software and people). We recently brought on our new CEO who has a passion for people, is very knowledgeable and is able to bridge a gap between the board and management that seemed to be missing initially after acquisition.
Gone is the mindset of a set schedule where you work 9 hours, take an hour lunch and start/leave at the same time each day and I think it is important these days that employees who do work hard, get their work done and meet their goals are able to have that flexibility. There is a lot of flexibility for employees to really mold their work day and how that day looks to make sure that their work/life is balanced. We are in a fast-growth stage, which is exciting and also a great opportunity to be learning, no matter what department you are in. You will never be bored working for GitKraken! You get to work with super smart teammates who are always cross-collaborating to make sure every one is on the same page.
I highly recommend working with this team if you are given the opportunity. I love his drive, professionalism, and most importantly his positive influence on the teams throughout the business. I can say he is doing a superb job with the team. GitKraken recently hired a new CEO to help drive their product initiatives into market. They are all a pleasure to work with! The teams here are all really good at what they do and love helping each other become better each day. The heads of Marketing, Product, Engineering and Finance are excellent communicators, extremely professional, friendly and very well versed in their craft. GitKraken has some very seasoned team members running the business. What I have noticed is that the work is stimulating, the balance is appropriate, and the team fosters a great, safe working environment. There are employees who have been here almost 10 years! That is unheard of in software. The culture is very inviting, and has a wonderful work-life balance. You get the best in hardware and technical tools to help deliver quality output. The team is extremely welcoming to new employees. Working at GitKraken provides a tremendous amount of opportunities.
